A sailor since the age of eight, Simon Kosuta was included in the ranks of the National team at a very young age. In 2005, together with Jas Farneti, he was among the protagonists of the Italian success in the prestigious Volvo Trophy (Class 420) and the following year he won the bronze at the European class Championship. Moving to 470, he lived his best season in 2012, when he won the world, European and Italian junior titles. He goes on to gain other important accomplishments with the dinghies including the Imperia Winter Regatta, the Delta Lloyd Regatta and the Garda Trentino Olympic Week. After completing his experience in the world of the Olympic classes, he dedicated himself to coaching and started racing in the world of offshore, winning the Rolex Capri Sailing Week in 2018 and hitting second place overall at the 151 Miglia.
